May Recap
The blog postings have been a little slim lately, so here's a recap of some of our fun May activities.
Our last day of preschool for the school year was last week. We will definitely miss teacher Diane and all the fun parents and friends from class!
Audrey has really enjoyed watching her veggie seeds sprout over the last couple of weeks. We finally transplanted then outside on Memorial Day. We'll post an update soon!
We shared a great meal with our friends, the Krafts. The kids really enjoyed eating little Greek chicken kebabs right off the stick. Really, despite the picture, the girls did have a good time!
A very late Happy Mother's Day to all the great mommies out there who have touched our lives!

Dinosaurs
Audrey is not a big fan of the new dinosaur exhibit at the zoo. I think they were a little too life-like. She didn't like that they moved, and she especially did not like the noise they make. See exhibit A.
And exhibit C.
And this one did not make noise or move, so it was OK for a quick photo. Audrey's favorite zoo attractions are still the flamingos and the penguins, followed by every other animal and insect in the zoo, and then the dinosaurs.

Running in Belltown
Audrey has been really interested in running lately. Whenever Steven or I am heading out for a run, she begs to go, and not in her stroller. At parks especially, she'll announce "I'm going for a run" and off she will go. She had a particularly bad case of it when we visited the Olympic Sculpture Park.
See those light posts all the way down the path? She spirited to every one and ran a circle around every pole.
We tried to get a nice shot in front of the the big wavy sculpture, but this is a good as we could do.

Children's Hospital
Yesterday Audrey took her first trip to Children's Hospital, but luckily she wasn't a patient. The hospital puts on a great Children's health fair. She got to try out a finger cast, tour an operating room (complete with an arthroscopic video of her dirty ears broadcast to the entire room full of other parents!), run the obstacle course, and try out being a patient and the driver of an ambulance. She was also fitted for a bike helmet and life jacket. Now we just need some sunshine so we can use them!

Song Writer
Since I started taking guitar lessons, Audrey has been even more excited about music and singing. So much so, that we bought her her own guitar as an insurance protection plan to keep Aunt Janet's guitar intact while I am borrowing it. Here's Audrey B with a little musical back up to some of her favorite songs. The first one, or course, is my favorite. She made it up herself!

Pasta Time
My cousin Gabie (a.k.a daddy's Goddaughter) has been giving daddy a hard time because one of her friends makes homemade pasta.
Well have a look at what daddy and I did on New Year's Eve. Delicious homemade ravioli stuffed with roasted chicken, Gruyere, and brussel sprouts, served with a simple marinara. Yummy and so fun to make.
I got to wear my new apron. My apron is really special, it even has my last name on it - Williams . . . . (and Sonoma).
