More Food Decisions

We recently posted that Audrey picked spinach over a dark chocolate brownie. Well tonight we had another surprising food choice . . . raw broccoli over chicken nuggets. And this time we have the celluloid to prove it.

I wasn't even planning on giving the broccoli to Audrey. I was cutting it up to blanch for our family dinner, when she asked for it and proceeded to eat three flowerettes. The chicken nuggets remained untouched thereafter.

Planting Veggies

Mommy and me took advantage of a beautiful Seattle spring weekend to plant the vegetable starts and some herbs . . . zucchini, roma tomatoes, chard, romaine and more. I can't wait to eat them all. Yummy!!

BTW - a quick gastronome update, I continue to like just about everything mommy and daddy feed me, but I still don't have any use for dairy.

Brownies or Spinach

Kayleen and I are still scratching our heads about the happenings after dinner tonight. After we finished the meal we had a lovely dark chocolate brownie with a warmed bitter-sweat chocolate ganache. We cut it into thirds, two bigger pieces for us and a small portion for Audrey. Much to our wonderment, she ignored the brownie, actually pushed it out of the way, and continued to gobble down raw spinach. Go Veggies!

Trip to Houston

Mama had another out of town meeting the last week of April, so the family headed south to Houston Texas. Grandma came too. We had lot's of fun. It was sunny and 80 with almost no humidity (except for the last day, which was 80, overcast and dripping-wet humid).

On the second day while mommy worked, daddy, grandma and me headed to Galveston to dip our toes in the Gulf and soak up the warm sun.

Drawing in the warm sand.

Protesting getting my feet wet!

Mommy was able to join us for a couple of hours at the Houston Zoo. I ran around non-stop and then took a 3 hour nap.

The beautiful home we rented was located on the nicest street imaginable, it really made us rethink all of our notions of Houston! Every home and yard in the community was gorgeous.

Did daddy love the six-burner Viking gas range? Does a bear poop in the woods?

I loved my baths in the bear-claw tub, and mommy loved the 6x8 shower with spray nozzles in almost every direction.
