Yurt not going to believe what I did last weekend

We spent the weekend at Mt. Saint Helen's National Volcanic Monument and we camped in a yurt at a nearby state park. I loved the Volcano. My favorite part of camping was the fire and the bunny rabbits in the nearby field.

I loved all the rocks and looking at the big mountain. It was also mommy's first time here.

Yummy camping grub: hash browns, bacon, fresh peaches and a spinach egg lorraine.

I didn't mind the heat (93 degrees) I insisted upon my long sleeve pajamas and my rubber boots before bedtime. What better why to roast smores.

"Fire, Fire, Fire, Fire" It made mommy pretty nervous.

Guns and Cannons . . . No Problem!

We were excited to go enjoy some of the Seafair festivities, but mommy was a bit worried given my increasing anxiety of unexpected loud noises. Solution, Grandpa delivered some headphones. These are the same ones mommy wore every year on July 4 during fireworks. Here we are at the Lake City Seafair Parade. The Seafair cowboy's guns and Seafair Pirate's Cannon didn't scare me at all!
Plus I couldn't even hear myself screaming, I wonder if anyone else could?

O.k., my throats getting sore, I guess I'll just watch the show now.

I got the try my first sucker, blue raspberry.

And in a totally unrelated photo, here's a blue heron we spotted during dinner in the backyard.

Back to the parade, I loved the bagpipes, daddy was excited because the NW Junior Pipers stopped right in front of us and started with his favorite bagpipe song, Scotland the Brave.
